Election after election, exit polls demonstrate that when young people vote, Democrats win. As the largest organization in Southern California focused on giving young people a voice in local, state, and federal politics, the Los Angeles County Young Democrats have the unique ability to reach out to young voters on a peer-to-peer basis.
LACYD members actively engage in campaigns for our endorsed candidates by walking districts, making calls at phone banks and sharing information about our candidates with their ever-expanding social networks of friends and colleagues. This year, we are laying the groundwork for an exciting 2016 election cycle, when outreach to young people will be essential to Democratic campaigns, and we need your help to ensure we have the support necessary to effectively advocate on behalf of young people throughout Los Angeles.
In order for LACYD to do our critical work to help impact the November elections – including informing and activating a large and important base of young voters – we need your support. Will you please support our work today by sponsoring the event? Sponsors will be recognized at the event for their support and generosity. Please find information about how to donate to the 2015 LACYD Laurel Awards below.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration. Please feel free to contact LACYD President Daniel Lopez with any questions.
